The Hague University is an incredibly multicultural place that becomes more international every year, thanks to the large influx of international students.
The three of us met here, coincidentally, and with none of us coming from The Hague or even the Netherlands, we became quite fascinated with the unique cultural phenomenon this place is. For us, the Hague University is more than just a place to learn, it is also a location where we can share our cultural backgrounds and get to know people from all around the world, therefore we wanted to bring the world into this great building. The purpose of the exhibition is to spark curiosity among visitors about the world itself and the very special perspective each individual has on it. For us, these views on the world, exploring, different cultures and people are in themselves something deeply meaningful and photography is an excellent way of capturing it and in the same way to inspire people to go on journeys themselves and to explore the world surrounding them.
By traveling around the world, one leaves his prejudices at home and opens his heart for intercultural friendships, experience and a world without barriers: This is what movie|mento is going to visualize.

With the exhibition we are support the Italian NGO Coopi and their development project “L’ambiente giusto fà sviluppo (“A right environment makes development”). The project aims to uproot poverty by assuring a sustainable environment and access to water and natural recources for people in Congo, Somalia, Ciad, Bolivia and Paraguay.(read more in www.coopi.it)
